We at the Alma J. Cameron Foundation for Cancer Awareness (AJCF) are proud to announce we have awarded our first grant to Cristal Rivera-Mitchell, age 50. She was diagnosed with Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma, triple negative breast cancer on Feb 2, 2010.  At the time of her diagnosis she was caring for her son and mother. Her mother who has dementia had recently moved on with her.  Cristal is a single mom and now unable to work as a result of her condition.

Cristal saved her money to afford the initial consult at the Simms/Mann UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology. Her initial interview took place on Sept. 16, 2010.  They recommend a AVI supplemental regiment for six months to one year.  We will be covering the cost for a period of six months to one year for her supplements at the cost of $179.00 per month. The grantee is responsible for a $10 Co-payment.

We are proud of the work we do at the AJCF and honored to be in position to provide Cristal with the funds she needed for integrative medical treatment for cancer.

Thank you for your support it directly impacts our cancer patients and gives them back the power to fight back. What an amazing feeling.  I'm speaking from firsthand experience with my mom. Your gift is urgently needed and deeply appreciated.

We are "bridging the gap between conventional and integrative cancer treatments, one person at time."
